Thursday

Big crane back and lifted the walls onto the now completed floor.  about 2/3rds of the first (of 2) layers of wall panels placed in position before American hurricane Lorenzo struck about 5pm and the so-far erected panels had to be sheeted over.

Thanks to heroic efforts from all concerned we are making substantial progress.  The photograph below does not do justice to the efforts put in today.   We still have hopes of having a waterproof roof* being in place by the end of the week and therefore an idea of how things will look.

This is the side doorway and part of the kitchen area.  The walls have to go a good deal higher, tomorrow hopefully.

Settle Coal's crane dwarfs the cellphone mast and the tower.

* Spoke too soon about the roof - now likely to be Tuesday.   Even so, seven days between floor and roof is remarkable.
