The appearance of the Fat Controller on the station platform has caused much amusement - and so too has this picture of Settle station supervisor Paul Brown alongside. The similarity is quite uncanny don't you think?
Meanwhile the line is coming back to life with people - mainly on the non-Northern trains sadly. Here is a very lucky picture of the Staycation Express approaching Appleby as steamer British India Line departs:
