Au Revoir Gladys Emmanuel

Au Revoir, NOT goodbye!

We had been thinking it may be time for our Ford Model T, Gladys Emmanuel, to move on.  She had not turned a wheel since the start of Covid and I had come to the conclusion that my T driving days were, or should be, over.  Neither of our grandchildren wanted her and sale was considered.  Then inspiration struck - might our nephew David be interested in having her?  David loves his cars and is an advanced driver with distinction.  Fords used to be his passion.  Now he's risen to the dizzy heights of top-of-the range Mercedes.  (Never know the plural of Mercedes - if plural of Ford is Fords, might it be Mercedess or Mercedeses?)  Whatever, we are delighted to report that today was the day when Gladys Emmanuel was transported to Lancashire and David became her registered owner / keeper.  Not only does that keep Gladys in the family it puts her in safe hands just an hour or so's drive away.

Not only that, we regain the use of 1/3rd of the navvy hut's total floor space.  A big opportunity to spring-clean and reassess the navvy hut's contents.   Here are some pictures of the (rainy) day:

Delivered, safe and sound
