Photographer nephew David Kay paid us a welcome surprise visit in the sunshine this morning. Suffering for his art he had left home in Singleton, Lancs at 0630 and come over to Settle area to photograph the sunrise:
and some very photogenic Highland cattle who live around nearby Hellifield:
He brought with him his new drone that Father Christmas had brought him and insisted on having a fly over the water tower:
See next Blog entry for explanation.
Naturally he wanted to have a progress report on the little tractor, which he covets. The old girl wouldn't actually start but she issued forth a lot of black smoke whilst having an encouraging splutter.
Two things I have learnt today are:
1. tractors start better when their fuel is turned on and
2. I would be a hopeless drone pilot as I can no longer tilt my head sufficiently skywards.
