Meet the Reeses
Two most welcome and delightful visitors were Anja and Martyn Rees from Adelaide, South Australia
They had seen us on TV in Australia and have been following this Blog. They wrote in the visitors book "This building is why we came to Settle and it has been well worth it".
They were en route to Hawes and their journey coincided with yesterday's Waverley steam train going north over the Ribblehead Viaduct. I do hope they saw it.

ReplyDeleteWe are now home from our six week trip, and have finally caught up on the blog!
We did make it to Ribblehead in time, and waited with about ten others for the steamer to come through, and it did not let us down! We were worried for a bit, as a diesel appeared at the time that we were expecting the steam, but a few minutes later our patience paid off and we got to watch the steam train push through, though with some assistance from the diesel at the rear.
Thank you very much for your time to chat and allow us to look around, it was a highlight of our trip, after watching the progress for so long!
