Australian TV Showing
I got a whiff that our programme was going to be shown on TV in Australia. Looking at the Blog statistics I noticed a huge spike yesterday, referred from Google.au
For the record, I would like to say that despite being on the wrong side of the planet, and only ever really experiencing it through my train simulator, Settle-Carlisle has got to be on my top list of favorite lines. Probably a close second to the Great Western Mainline.
Thank you for that. I have had a few e-mails from Australia since the programme was aired.
ABC News in the USA did a piece a while ago listing the Worlds top ten rail journeys. They too put the S&C as number two - behind the Blue Train in South Africa.
As for you being on the 'wrong side of the planet' I have to tell you that the UK weather forecast for the next few days is dire as we have an Arctic air-stream bringing winter weather unseasonably early.
